The Power of the Jersey

A jersey is more than a uniform. It represents pride, belonging and influence. But with that influence comes responsibility.

Sport has the power to inspire and shape attitudes, especially among young people. But what happens when harmful behaviours become normalized in sport? And how can athletes, coaches and community leaders use their influence to create change?

On December 7, Interval House of Ottawa (IHO), in collaboration with the Ottawa Senators, invites you to The Power of the Jersey Panel: Why Sport Matters in Preventing Violence

Held during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, this conversation is a reminder that preventing violence requires all of us, and that sport has a powerful role to play in driving change.
