Interval House of Ottawa Announces New Executive Director

The Interval House of Ottawa Board of Directors is pleased to announce that, after much deliberation and review, that they have successfully completed their search and that Keri Lewis will be joining the IHO team as Executive Director effective January 2, 2020.

Many of you will know Keri already in her current role as Executive Director of Nelson House. Keri was born and raised in Ottawa. She graduated as a Social Service Worker in 2001 and has worked in shelters serving survivors of violence and their dependents since then. For much of her early employment, Keri worked as a frontline worker. She is therefore very familiar with, and connected to, the social service system in Ottawa.

Keri has been the Executive Director of Nelson House since 2014. Over this period, Keri focused on the redevelopment and expansion of the shelter, implementation of shelter standards, and increasing organizational capacity. Most recently, Keri has advocated with others to address the emergency housing crisis in Ottawa; a pressing concern that has significant impacts on the survivors of violence and their dependents. Keri is passionate about working with community partners to find solutions to this crisis.

On behalf of everyone at IHO, we welcome Keri to the team!
