Helen Johnson* offers to match all donations made to IHO up to $50,000

Updated: Jun 28, 2022

Helen Johnson* has spent her life helping others. At 92 years old, she has had many years of working closely with local Ottawa charities to support individuals and families in need.

In her charity work in the community, Helen came across Interval House of Ottawa (IHO). After learning a bit more about what IHO does, Helen felt that helping survivors of violence and their families & pets was a worthy cause and one she wanted to wholeheartedly support.

Helen’s intention was to leave her gift to IHO in her will but realized that she wouldn’t be able to see the tangible impact that her generous contribution would make for survivors of violence in the Ottawa community.

Therefore, to ensure that she sees her contribution bring positive change and that it has been pushed to its full impact, Helen has offered to match all donations made to IHO up to $50, 000.

This is your opportunity to work with Helen to show up for survivors of violence and their families this year. Consider making a donation with the knowledge that your gift will be matched, dollar for dollar, by Helen. To make a secure donation online, visit our website to double your positive impact on the lives of families escaping violence.

It’s exceptional donors, like you and Helen, that allow families the opportunity to rebuild their lives, free from violence and abuse. Thank you for all that you do.
